But it is nothing compared the hard road that people who suffer from Cancer have infront of them. I've committed to the Alice to Darwin Smiddy Challenge. That means in June I'll be cycling over 1500 km through the heart of the Outback.
Why am I taking on this incredible journey?
It’s simple. To raise much-needed funds for cancer research at Mater.
As part of the Alice to Darwin Smiddy Challenge peloton, I’ll be using my passion for cycling to raise funds to help fight this devastating disease.
But much like any Smiddy event, it’s a long, hard road to fight cancer … and I need your help.
Every day in Queensland, around 70 people and their families are blindsided by a cancer diagnosis.
That’s almost three people who will hear the words “you have cancer” in the next hour.
Significant investment in life-saving cancer research is the only way we’re going to change these statistics.
