Update: Sadly, Tara took her last breath, succumbing to stage IV triple negative breast cancer.
❤ In memory of Tara (22.03.84 - 17.01.19) ❤
When I raise $1,500 I'll do the walk dressed as a giant boob (pictured below).
I currently have a good friend who has been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. She has received good news, and bad news, and yet, she continues each day as positive as can be, despite the cancer progressing to stage 4, metastasising to her bone marrow, and now her meninges (brain). She has been such a brave warrior throughout this, and I don't know how she keeps her sh*t together to be quite honest.
So I'm gonna walk 10k for her and everyone else diagnosed with breast cancer.
Help me, help others diagnosed with breast cancer. Donations over $2 are tax deductible and full of good karma!
On any given day, 50 women* will have their worlds turned upside down when they hear the words 'You have breast cancer'.
As part of the RACQ International Women's Day Fun Run, I am raising funds for Mater Chicks in Pink to make an immediate impact for these women.
But I need your help.
Together, we can help to fund personalised, practical support services such as counselling, yoga and art therapy and mastectomy bras for women who have lost one or both breasts. These support services will make life easier for women affected by breast cancer right now, when they need your support the most.
Your donation will also be helping to fund life-saving research at Mater to better understand and treat breast cancer in the future.
Ultimately, we’ll be helping to make life easier for women with breast cancer today and saving more lives tomorrow.
