My Message

In commemoration of our late great mate, Ross "Rossco" Noye, who spent his last days in our company on our 2017 Smiddy NZ ride, this coming March 2020, alongside my mates that will also be riding in Rossco's honour, we’ll be cycling 700 km from the beautiful town that Rossco spent his last night in, Wanaka, up to Christchurch.

Whilst Rossco will be in our hearts the whole way, we'll also be riding for the great cause that he held, and I hold, close to our hearts - the continuing efforts to tackle the "Big C" - CANCER.

Cancer has unfortunately affected too many people in my family - (1) my father died from lung cancer, (2) my grandfather died from melanoma, (3) my step-father died from pancreatic cancer, (4) my dearest Mother is currently battling Breast Cancer for the 2nd time (and fingers crossed, it looks like she's winning again!!).

On that last note - my Mother's Breast Cancer - it's critical to note that she's doing so, most likely thanks to the life-saving research that went into finding new treatments. Had she got this cancer 20 years ago, she probably wouldn't be here today.

What about your family? Consider this chilling statistic:

1 in 2 Australian men and women will be diagnosed with CANCER by the age of 85.

1 in 2. Seriously. 1... in... 2... = there's almost a certain chance that you or your wife/husband will be diagnosed with Cancer. Most likely also numerous other family members and friends.

Thankfully there IS something you can do to help.

Life-saving treatments only happen when research happens... Which relies on good people, like you, to donate funds to the cause.

As part of my challenge I’m aiming to raise at very least $5,000 - but hopefully much more - to support the work of Mater Research, Mater’s world-class research institute that’s investing in some game-changing work into the causes, treatment and prevention of cancer.

Together, we can help to give more families - including mine & yours - more time together; to make more memories.

Please, think about your loved ones when making a donation.

Thank you, sincerely, from the bottom of my heart.
